Two more pinup publications this year, both with photography, makeup and hair by Marilee Caruso! My Rick’s Dessert Diner images are in the super-duper Social Pin Issue 72 (and on the back cover!) and my Lucy Westenra (of the Coppola Bram Stoker’s Dracula adaptation fame) pics are in Volume 1 of Retro Lovely‘s new Vampyre special edition!
More after the jump…
The Lucy images happened because La Femme en Noir made the orange-red nightdress and cape worn by Sadie Frost in the film. I love Eiko Ishioka’s beautiful costume designs for the movie, and felt we could do some justice to Lucy’s garden scene with Dracula. After our Brides of Dracula shoot last year, it just made sense. Plus I love vampires.
We shot the diner images at Rick’s Dessert Diner in Midtown Sacramento, a fun mid century pastiche diner that’s been around since the mid-1980s. Rick’s is great about letting people shoot there, which we greatly appeciated. The dress is the Bardot swing from Vixen by Micheline Pitt.
You can pick up copies of these lovely publications via my Linktree, as always!
